Job Summary
Infusion Nurse in San Francisco, California. This position involves providing infusion therapy services within an outpatient oncology setting, with a focus on administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other blood products. The role requires collaborative patient care, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient management of infusion procedures.

Job Details

  • Certifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemo Certification (Oncology Nursing Society/ONCC) required.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; minimum 2 years of infusion center experience required.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Skills: Accessing and managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, blood and blood product management, patient education, managing side effects, infusion pump management, central line care, managing immunotherapy and blood transfusions, handling cytotoxic spills, and monitoring for complications.
  • Patient Ratios: 6 patients during day shifts, 5 during weekends.
  • Facility & Patient Care Details: Serving adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of approximately 120 patients, managing complex oncology treatments including stem cell transplant, CAR-T therapy, and heavy blood transfusion demands.
  • Additional Information: Floating to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius may be required; prior charge experience preferred.
