Description

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Nurse in San Francisco, California. This position involves providing nursing care for patients undergoing imaging services such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology procedures. The role requires supporting patients with IV procedures, moderate sedation, monitoring, recovery, and providing pre- and post-procedure instructions. The position offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team across a facility serving diverse patient diagnoses.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, BSN, at least 2 years of experience in radiology or adult acute care, current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ICU, Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, or procedural areas; radiology imaging nursing certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS required for all RN positions.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must have completed references prior to submission and be able to wear a lead apron as needed. The role involves supporting imaging procedures including IV support, sedation, and recovery, with proficiency in radiation safety and MRI access. Orientation begins at 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on the Monday before the Tuesday start date. Floating to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius may be required.
