Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking registered nurses (RN) for a home health care position located in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing in-home patient care within a dynamic environment that emphasizes patient-centered treatment. The position is suitable for professionals with at least two years of experience in home health care, offering a consistent work schedule with daytime shifts.

Job Details:

  • Location: Portland, Maine
  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Home Health Care
  • Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Openings: 5 positions
  • Start Date: 07/27/2026
  • Call Requirements: No overnight call; call back required 2-4 times a month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with the option to be released from call if no additional visits are scheduled by 5:00 PM
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in home health care or relevant field
  • Float Requirements: None
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • Education & Certifications: Epic and OASIS experience necessary; additional skills include IV therapy, tube feeds, VAC dressings, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, urinary catheters, lab draws, etc.
  • Equipment Provided: Agency laptop and iPhone with case and chargers, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, INR machine, agency bag
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC platform
  • Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary patients
  • Personality Traits: Organized, collaborative, team-oriented, strong communication skills, effective time management, receptive to feedback
  • Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs of any color; no jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes
  • Additional Notes: Position replaces permanent staff; flexible responsibilities based on agency needs
