Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Home Healthcare in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing in-home patient care across various adult medical-surgical, neurological, cardiac, oncology, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, and urological conditions. The position requires a dedicated professional with strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift from 0800 to 1700, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of clinical experience; BLS certification; proficiency with EPICH and OASIS electronic medical records systems; experience in home health care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV therapy, tube feeds, VAC dressings, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, urinary catheters, lab draws.
  • Float: None.
  • Additional Information: The RN will manage a caseload of 20-25 adult patients, with an expectation of 5-6 patient visits daily. May serve as a re-visit nurse if needs change. Equipment assigned includes a laptop, iPhone, nursing supplies, vital signs monitor, INR machine, and other clinical tools, all to be returned upon departure. Call requirements include callback 2-4 times per month between 1700-2000 hours; no overnight call. The RN must be organized, collaborative, possess good communication and time management skills, and be open to feedback. Attire is business casual or scrubs, and the position involves replacing a permanent staff member.
