Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Tupelo, Mississippi. This position involves providing high-quality critical care to patients within a Level 2 trauma, teaching facility. The ER nurse will be responsible for managing critical care drips, starting IVs, ventilator management, arterial and central line management, lab draws, blood culture collections, intubations, and EKG interpretation. The role requires flexibility and the ability to float within the competency areas, with a focus on patient safety and efficient emergency care delivery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/26/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Current Mississippi licensure, at least 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience, prior travel experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 2 trauma or a hospital with 400+ beds.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to units within the nurses competencies.
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation dates are 08/12 and 08/26.
  • Must begin fingerprinting process within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
  • Candidate must not have worked perm or per diem for the healthcare provider within the last 12 months.
  • Availability and flexibility with scheduling are required, including the ability to work on 12/24 or 12/25, and 12/31 or 01/01, with no negotiations.
  • No on-call, no block scheduling, and no self-scheduling.
  • Patient ratio is 1:4, or 1:6 when ER holds are waiting for inpatient beds.
  • Scrubs are navy blue and are not provided.
  • Must have at least 2 years of ER experience and hold all required certifications at time of submission.
