Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Little Rock, Arkansas. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a teaching hospital setting. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of critical and acute cases, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Shift Schedule: Nights, from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum of 1 year of emergency room nursing experience, BLS (Basics Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers, prior travel experience, teaching hospital background, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification are preferred.
  • Special Considerations: The ER manages approximately 35 beds in the main area, 7 ACE spaces, and 4 hallway spaces, including a CDU (Care Delivery Unit) with 16 beds. The role involves patient ratios of 1:3-4, with adjustments for ICU care. Weekend shifts are required every third weekend, with no call responsibilities. Equipment includes Phillips monitors, RT (Respiratory Therapy) managed ventilators, and occasional ECMO placement in the ER. Art lines are seen within the department.
  • Travel and Float Requirements: Travel is not required, and float rotation may not be necessary for this assignment.
