Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves providing care for a diverse patient population, including med-surg, tele, cardiac intensive care unit acuity level patients, neurological, and stroke (CVA) patients. The assignment includes night shifts starting on 08/10/2026, with orientation happening every other Monday. The RN will be responsible for charge duties, with appropriate training and pay differential, and work limited weekends based on unit needs. Prior travel experience is required for all Centra positions.

Job Details:

• Location: Lynchburg, VA
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Active VA or Compact nursing license, 2+ years of work history with explanations for any work gaps over 90 days, skills checklist, copy of Nursys license, and documentation of requested time off.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience, Cerner system familiarity, prior travel experience.
• Additional Information: Orientation occurs every other Monday, with limited RTO allowed. The unit strives to follow a 2/3 weekend schedule but may vary based on needs. Limited RTO can be granted, with client-initiated cancellations possible up to 36 hours before the assignment. The facility is a teaching environment with frequent interaction with students and new hires, promoting a culture of support.
