Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a teaching medical center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position involves providing direct and indirect patient care on a unit with a focus on general medicine and telemetry monitoring. The role requires adaptability across units and collaboration within a patient-centered, team-oriented environment, with a start date of 08/10/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting; applicable licensure and certifications must be maintained
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience reading telemetry strips; familiarity with chest tubes, tracheostomies, PIV starts, drain and tubes management, PCA pump administration, and Gtt management, including medications such as Amiodarone, Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Reynolds, North, ACE, Ardmore areas and Ardmore units
• Additional Information:
  • Unit is patient-centered with a focus on high reliability and teamwork
  • Orientation includes a two-day departmental NEO and unit-specific training
  • Support within the department includes 24/7 rapid response team, hospitalist, intensivist, and telemetry monitoring/tech services
  • Technological resources involve Epic electronic medical record, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing system, and centralized telemetry monitoring
  • Scrub color: royal blue; free parking provided
