Description
Job Summary:
Northridge, California Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech position in a busy surgical environment. This role involves supporting a variety of surgeries in general, trauma, orthopedic, gynecology, urology, and vascular cases, with specializations including open heart and thoracotomy procedures. Candidates should have experience working in trauma, orthopedic, and general surgery settings and be comfortable working independently during various shifts.
Job Details:
- Shift: 8-hour shifts scheduled from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm, and 10:45 pm to 7:15 am, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Start Date: 07/28/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certification is required for sterile processing technicians through IAHCSMM or CBSPD; valid BLS certification; 2 years of experience working in sterile processing.
- Specialty: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (OR Tech)
- Experience: 2 years of related experience preferred; minimum 0 years required.
- Certifications: BLS Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA.
- Schedule Details: Shifts are 8 hours; call required. Call response time is 30 minutes. Weekends and holidays are scheduled according to unit policy, with specific call expectations for RN and CST roles.
- Additional Information: No floating responsibilities; orientation includes 2-3 shifts on the unit; experience with trauma, ortho, general, ENT, plastics, vascular, neuro, and robotics surgeries preferred; scrubbing not required but preferred with 3-5 years of experience.
