Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse opportunity available in Artesia, New Mexico. This role involves providing acute care in a fast-paced ER environment with a focus on trauma, STEMIs, and strokes. The position requires experienced nurses capable of handling a wide range of patient needs from minor injuries to critical emergencies, with an emphasis on independent critical thinking and proficiency in managing critical drips.

Job Details:

• Location: Artesia, NM
• Position: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse
• Shift: Days, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS; minimum of 5 years of ED experience; ability to work independently and perform critical drip titrations such as Amio, Cardizem, Epi, Insulin; able to read and interpret tele and EKGs; must be able to meet the clinical skills and critical thinking requirements; licensed to submit license documentation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma level 1 or 2 emergency departments; experience handling complex trauma cases and critical patient management.
• Additional Information: The ER handles approximately 40-50 patients daily, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3. Emergency Department team includes physicians, mid-level providers, house supervisors, RTs, and support staff. Accountability includes managing resp equipment, IVs, phlebotomy, and interpreting monitors. The role involves secretarial duties, patient vitals, ADLs, and I/Os. Clinical orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor. The facility is actively working toward trauma level IV designation and operates 24/7 emergency services, including imaging and lab support.
