Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nursing in GOLDSBORO, North Carolina. The registered nurse provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting. This role involves coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, participating in patient education, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care delivery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC); 2+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience highly preferred; 1 year of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Additional Information: The position requires the ability to perform bedside point of care testing and demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems. The RN will participate in care planning, patient education, discharge planning, and interdepartmental collaboration. Strong communication, task prioritization, and cultural competence are essential to ensure safe and effective patient care.
