Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care within a critical care setting on the night shift. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, with a focus on delivering direct care according to established standards. The RN will also guide patient and family education and collaborate with other nursing staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Aurora, Illinois
• Schedule: Night shift, 19:00 to 07:30; minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Valid and current state Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital or critical care unit
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
  • COVID vaccination and boosters preferred
• Responsibilities include critical monitoring such as hemodynamic assessments, diagnostic result interpretation, titration of medications and drips, and rapid response to clinical changes. The RN may float between intensive care and telemetry units as needed, demonstrating flexibility in providing patient care. The role requires effective communication with physicians regarding patient status and maintaining patient confidentiality.
