Description
Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN position is located at a healthcare facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This level 3 NICU unit provides comprehensive care for neonates, utilizing advanced ventilator support, high frequency jet ventilators, high frequency oscillators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide therapies. The role involves caring for critically ill neonates in a specialized environment, with potential float to the Well Baby Nursery.
Job Details:
- Location: Philadelphia, PA
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 3 years of neonatal intensive care experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilators, high frequency jet ventilators, high frequency oscillators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, nitric oxide therapies; caring for critically ill neonates; weekend and holiday availability preferred but not required
- Float: Float rotation not required
- Additional Information: The facility has 41 beds, including single, double, and triple rooms. The NICU encompasses all aspects of critical neonatal care except surgical and cardiac cases. The unit demands a compassionate and technically skilled nurse capable of managing sick neonates effectively.
