Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Puyallup, Washington. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level III trauma center with a busy and diverse patient population. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment serving patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, stroke, sepsis, and mental health cases.

Job Details:

Location: Puyallup, WA
Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift times are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with schedules provided three weeks in advance.
Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB
- Education/Experience: 2 years of emergency department experience, recent EPIC EMR experience, and telemetry competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood administration, procedural sedation, TNK administration, and cardiac medications.
Support on the Unit: ER tech for glucose checks and assisting with splinting, support staff available 24/7 including house supervision, social work services, pharmacy, and security.
Support System and Equipment: Epic EMR, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication system, bedside telemetry monitoring.
Orientation: First day includes badge pickup, Epic training if needed, meeting with educator, and orientation to mental health and front operations; second day involves a 12-hour shift with a preceptor.
Travel Requirements: Telemetry competency exam must be completed and passed prior to start.
