Telemetered Medical Surgical Float Nurse - Rock Island, Illinois. This role involves providing expert clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy trauma center setting. The float nurse will cover various units within the facility, utilizing extensive critical care skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position starts on 08/10/2026 and requires flexibility across different clinical areas.

Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Medical Surgical Float
• Location: Rock Island, Illinois
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Two years of previous clinical experience; completion of at least one travel contract preferred; Illinois state nursing license required; Iowa on offer required; experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, central lines, drains, and CBI required; relevant certifications including BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required; valid drivers license; current work history/resume; skills checklist completed within the past year; license verification; copy of certifications; supervisory reference at time of submission; taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within trauma centers is advantageous.
• Additional Information: Must be available to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically in 2026. Candidates should be prepared to work within the facilitys fixed guidelines and procedures, and must pass all required clinical and operational assessments prior to assignment.
