Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Greeley, Colorado. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery department. The RN will utilize professional nursing practices to ensure high-quality care during perinatal and postpartum periods, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim or compact RN license for the state of practice. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. Relevant experience includes at least one year in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing is preferred. Professional certification related to labor and delivery nursing is also preferred.
- Additional Information: The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach frequently. Candidates should possess physical agility, good hearing and visual acuity, and the ability to use proper body mechanics for patient transfers. Effective communication skills are necessary for collaboration with staff, patients, families, and external contacts. The role involves direct patient care with a focus on safety, quality, and patient-centered outcomes, adhering to all regulatory and professional standards.
