Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care for adult oncology patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy infusions. The role includes supporting infusion needs through outpatient clinic support with a focus on acute care medical-surgical oncology experience. The facility requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex care scenarios related to oncology treatments, including chemotherapy administration and port management.
Job Details
- Schedule: 9-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; OCNS (Oncology Certified Nurse Specialist) certification in fundamentals of chemotherapy; current healthcare license; clinical experience in outpatient oncology with chemotherapy infusion; at least 1 year of recent medical-surgical oncology experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Extensive chemotherapy experience; outpatient oncology experience strongly preferred; familiarity with managing ports and central lines; ability to handle complex procedures like extravasation and cytotoxic spill management.
- Additional Information: This outpatient oncology role involves caring for adult patients, with an average daily census of 30 patients across 12 rooms. Support from multidisciplinary teams is available. Candidates must demonstrate competence in managing ports, administering chemotherapy, and recognizing abnormal lab values and emergencies such as sepsis and spinal cord compression.
