Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular Registered Nurse position is located in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves working in a designated Intensive Care Unit specializing in cardiovascular patient care. The nurse will be responsible for providing advanced patient management and support during night shifts, ensuring high-quality care for adult patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 1845-0708, 36 hours per week, open to 4x12s, with every third weekend rotation.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, at least 1 year of recent ICU experience in an Acute Care Hospital, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, prior experience with PICC line management and starting IVs.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, familiarity with Cerner charting system, trauma level I or II experience, hospital setting experience.
  • Float: Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must have current active Illinois license or be in process with an ETA. RTO restrictions are ideally no more than 5 days. Candidate must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays. The nurse will be working in an acute care hospital with 562 beds, and parking permits are provided at no cost. Orientation comprises 48 hours, including virtual end-user training and modules to be completed within 1 week of start date.
  • Certifications & Skills: ACLS, BLS, PICC line management, starting IVs, and clinical skills pertinent to adult critical care, including arterial line management, ventilator management, and post-cardiac surgery care.
