Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular Registered Nurse position is located in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves working in a designated Intensive Care Unit specializing in cardiovascular patient care. The nurse will be responsible for providing advanced patient management and support during night shifts, ensuring high-quality care for adult patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 1845-0708, 36 hours per week, open to 4x12s, with every third weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, at least 1 year of recent ICU experience in an Acute Care Hospital, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, prior experience with PICC line management and starting IVs.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, familiarity with Cerner charting system, trauma level I or II experience, hospital setting experience.
Float: Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required.
Additional Information: Candidate must have current active Illinois license or be in process with an ETA. RTO restrictions are ideally no more than 5 days. Candidate must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays. The nurse will be working in an acute care hospital with 562 beds, and parking permits are provided at no cost. Orientation comprises 48 hours, including virtual end-user training and modules to be completed within 1 week of start date.
Certifications & Skills: ACLS, BLS, PICC line management, starting IVs, and clinical skills pertinent to adult critical care, including arterial line management, ventilator management, and post-cardiac surgery care.
