Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse (CVICU RN) in Great Falls, Montana. This position involves providing specialized care to postoperative open heart patients and critically ill cardiovascular patients within a 10-bed ICU unit. The role emphasizes immediate post-operative care, operation of advanced medical equipment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient management.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Degree from an accredited nursing program; Current State of Montana RN Licensure; BLS, ACLS, PALS certification; Recent critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred.
- Additional Information: The nurse will care for patients in acute post-operative phases, utilizing equipment such as central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, IV pumps, A-lines, and ventilatory support. Responsibilities include assessment, intervention, discharge planning, and acting as a clinical leader. The position requires minimal supervision with the ability to operate complex medical devices and interpret cardiac telemetry and EKGs.
