Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician position available in Watertown, New York. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures within the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment, and supporting surgeons and nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have recent surgical tech experience, certification, and be prepared to work scheduled days, including weekends, call, and holidays.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; 40 hours per week; 13-week assignment
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist, or current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, with knowledge of sterilization, disinfection, and instrumentation used in surgical settings. Must have recent travel experience, orthopedic and scrubbing experience, DaVinci surgical system experience, and BLS certification. Candidate will function under RN supervision, assist in patient preparation, perform scrub duties, and ensure equipment sterility and functionality.
• Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program is preferred.
• Additional Information: Must arrive within 30 minutes of being called in. May be asked to precept new staff and assist with departmental tasks as assigned. Knowledge of the use of cleaning, sterilization, and inventory management is essential.
