Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking an Intermediate Care Unit registered nurse in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This position involves working on a Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit with patients requiring stabilization, sepsis management, trauma care, GI bleed treatment, and other critical interventions. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Stevens Point, WI
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Guaranteed 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Required Qualifications: WI or compact registered nurse license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum 2 years of experience in Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or Progressive Care Unit
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Float: Float to all inpatient units as needed; potential to float to Wisconsin Rapids, Plover, Divine Savior; float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • Contract length: 8 weeks, start date: 08/03/2026
  • Able to manage independently and complete tasks in a potentially high-acuity environment

  • There are no guaranteed GSA hours during orientation; traveler is guaranteed set hours except during holidays when the unit is closed
  • Travelers may be placed on call for low census hours, which will count toward unbillable hours, with call back pay provided if called back to the facility
  • During flu season, staff declining flu and COVID vaccinations must wear masks at all times, per facility policy
