Job Summary:
The profession is a Telemetry Registered Nurse based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing nursing care in a busy telemetry unit, supporting patients with cardiac and other acute conditions. The role entails delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and patient safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours shift duration, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 08/10/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 0 years of experience; must have education and certification credentials valid for practice in Wisconsin, including a current RN license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac patient care, and electronic charting preferred.
• Support on the Unit: Charge nurse available, full assignments on nights, unit secretary support, 24/7 hospitalist, RT, and telemetry monitoring with tele technology. Phlebotomy assistance for peripheral blood draws.
• Charting System/Equipment: EPIC electronic health record system preferred, along with GE monitors and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
• Float: May float to other inpatient areas within scope of practice, potentially to the ICU, with rare occasions during shift.
• Orientation: At least one shift to learn facility flow and procedures.
• Scheduling: Includes weekend rotation every other week; no block scheduling; approved time off up to 7 days is permitted.
• Overtime: None unless explicitly approved by the manager.
• On Call: Not required.
• Holiday Expectations: One summer and one winter holiday shift may be expected.
• Additional Notes: Must document pain levels accurately, including pre- and post-medication scores; no specific parking restrictions, parking is free; scrub color flexible, no camo or denim allowed.
