Job Summary:
Telemetry Technician in New York providing advanced electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation. The role involves identifying and responding to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiating codes, performing continuous cardiac monitoring, troubleshooting monitoring issues, and responding appropriately to monitor alarms.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:30PM, with a shift duration of 11.5 hours per day and a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Red Cross; Dysrhythmia Course; a minimum of 2 years of experience as a telemetry technician.
• Required Skills & Experience: CARDIAC MONITORING, Telemetry Technician
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performance of electrocardiograms in multiple settings including electrode placement, clear communication with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians, entry and verification of orders in the computer system, retrieval of laboratory results, documentation compliance, and safe operation of monitoring and medical equipment.
