Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position is located in Eureka, California. This role involves providing specialized care to obstetric patients, including those undergoing cesarean sections, within a facility that caters to high-risk obstetrics and a diverse patient population. The position requires a proactive healthcare professional capable of responding effectively to obstetric emergencies and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, ACLS certification, AWHONN Intermediate certification, BLS certification, minimum of 1 year of current experience in Labor and Delivery or obstetric care, ability to float within scope as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric patient management, proficiency in Epic charting system, prior experience in a high-volume labor and delivery unit.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
• Additional Information: The facility supports care for high-risk obstetric patients and a culturally diverse population. RNs circulate during cesarean sections and are involved in a variety of obstetric procedures. Candidates must be willing to work two of the three major holidays and have references covering the past three years.
