Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse in ISSAQUAH, WA. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care in a busy OR setting with a variety of specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, ENT, neuro/spine, and vascular procedures. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and flexibility to rotate between inpatient and outpatient cases.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 2 years of experience in Operating Room nursing; WA state license; Experience with orthopedic sports medicine and scrub experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics, blood/blood products administration, complex procedures like total joints, neuro/spine, ENT with endoscope experience, and specialized equipment such as epidural pumps and PICC/Central Lines
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other campuses with the same service line
  • Additional Information:
    • On-call shifts are 12 hours, with weekday on-call from 7 pm to 7 am, and weekend/holiday coverage divided between 7 pm to 7 am or 7 am to 7 pm.
    • Coverage primarily supports outpatient procedures, with approximately 30% inpatient and 10% pediatric cases.
    • The facility handles a diverse range of surgical procedures and patient diagnoses, emphasizing robotics, ENT, trauma, and vascular surgery.
    • Prior permanent staff from specific organizations are not permitted to work as travelers here.
    • References: Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required for compliance.
