Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse in San Diego, California. This position involves providing specialized, patient-centered care to neonatal patients while collaborating with the healthcare team to promote positive outcomes. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic care tailored to the needs of critically ill newborns and their families.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day Shift from 07:00 to 19:30, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license, CPR certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, at least three years of recent RN experience working in an RN role, with a minimum of two years in a specialty area.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in neonatal or neonatal intensive care units.
  • Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for assessing neonatal needs, developing individualized plans of care, administering therapeutic interventions, and educating families. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and documentation in accordance with department policies are essential responsibilities.
