Description
Job Summary:
The profession is registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical float positions. Located in Roswell, New Mexico, this role involves working in a general medical-surgical unit with occasional float to ICU and step-down units. The assignment offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic environment, with scheduled shifts primarily during the night.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend, with floating required, no call required
- Schedule: 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; 1+ years of experience as a medical-surgical registered nurse; active nursing license valid in New Mexico; ability to start on 08/17/2026
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification; experience with Cerner and Mindray Telemetry System electronic medical records; experience working in a general medicine-surgical environment, including post-op orthopedic, general surgery, and ICU float assignments
- Additional Information: Fingerprints are required for all travelers in New Mexico, and processing may take several weeks. The role involves working on a general medical-surgical unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 to 1:7. Scrubs are royal blue.
