Description
Job Summary:
This is a Nursing position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Soldotna, Alaska. The role involves delivering individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies as well as standards of nursing practice. The position requires working night shifts and provides a vital role in critical patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience; active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; COVID vaccine required
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Additional Information:
- Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care utilizing equipment such as Meditech and Pyxis Supply Stations
- Unit consists of 6 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 at times, up to 3:1
- Standard departmental orientation includes 3 days of training, with Medication Testing required within the first two weeks at site
- Charting system used: EPIC
- No BSN required, but submission license is necessary
- Trauma level classification is not specified
