Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU NEURO) nurse opportunity is located in a medical center in Chico, California. This position involves caring for neuro and trauma patients within a Level II trauma neuro/trauma/surgical intensive care unit. The role requires flexibility to float to related units as needed and demands experienced critical care skills in an acute care environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Chico, California
• Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; at least 5 years of acute critical care experience; Level II trauma critical care experience; EPIC charting experience; previous traveler experience
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU NEURO)
• Position Description: Level II trauma neuro/trauma/surgical intensive care unit. The unit is a 12-bed facility with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, specializing in neuro/trauma patients including those with intracranial pressure (ICP) monitors, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and lumbar drains. Staff must be prepared to float to Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/ Coronary Care Unit (CCU), or Medical Surgical units as needed. Must be able to care for complex critical patients effectively.
• Additional Information: The organization accepts W-2 agency staff only. This is a standard float position requiring cross-unit coverage as needed.
