Job Summary:
The intensive care unit (ICU) registered nurse position is based in West Burlington, Iowa. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring needs. The position requires adherence to specific unit protocols and responsibilities, including self-study of telemetry strips and passing a basic dysrhythmia test within the first week. The work schedule is primarily nights, with an estimated 36 hours per week and potential overtime.

Job Details:

• Location: West Burlington, Iowa
• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience with electronic medical records within the last 12 months in a similar unit; BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; ability to self-study telemetry strips and pass a dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an ICU setting, specifically with adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, intervening, implementing, and evaluating patient care; collaborating with healthcare team members; maintaining professional standards; and being available for occasional on-call duties with a response time within one hour.
• Work may include every other weekend rotation and holiday shifts.
• The traveler is responsible for their own self-study and must demonstrate competency to work on ICU-CCU units.
