Job Summary:
The registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the night shift is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within a hospital setting. This role involves supervising co-workers, delegating appropriate tasks, and ensuring all duties are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 401 North Ewing Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a diploma in nursing, associate degree in nursing (ADN), or Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN); valid Ohio state nursing license; CPR certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience preferred; 0 years of experience required.
• Specialty: Medical Surgical (MS) on a medical surgical floor.
• Position start date: 08/24/2026.
• Physical Demands: Heavy work capacity, including exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
• Job Responsibilities: Assessing and caring for patients, administering medications, coordinating care with physicians, and supervising nursing assistants. Providing education to patients and families, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring equipment is functional and available.
• Professional Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, ability to manage urgent situations calmly, and supervise clinical staff professionally.
