Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in Michigan. This position involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care within a hospital setting. The RN utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient and family education. Effective communication of pertinent patient information to the healthcare team is essential. The role includes participation in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensuring the implementation of those solutions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Two or more recent years of experience as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown, or Telemetry nurse.
  • Experience with medication drips.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required in hand.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Additional Information:
  • The contract length is 13 weeks with auto offers approved.
  • Clinical skills include nursing care planning, professional nursing services, and effective communication.
