Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) position is located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing critical care to adult patient populations across various specialized units such as Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, and more. The nurse will work in a dynamic environment supporting diverse high-acuity cases, adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: WI RN license or compact RN license, 1+ years of recent acute care experience in ICU settings, certification in ACLS and BLS, experience with multiple ICU specialties including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, and IMC/Progressive/General care populations, ability to pass a telemetry test prior to start.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with cardiac interpretation, adult patient care experience, Basic Arrhythmia experience.
  • Additional Information: The RN must be competent in multiple ICU specialties and able to manage advanced critical care procedures. The role includes float requirements to various ICU units within the hospital, with a focus on adult populations. Travelers are expected to float as needed, and strict pass/fail testing including a telemetry exam will be required before start. The position begins on 08/03/2026 at the hospital located at 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792.
  • Submittal Requirements: Candidates must have two years of recent acute care ICU experience within the last three years, submit a cardiac interpretation review course certificate if failing the telemetry exam twice, and be able to meet all testing criteria within two attempts.
