Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing advanced patient care in a high-acuity environment within a Magnet-certified hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. The role offers opportunities to work across diverse critical care units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, Trauma ICU, and Burn ICU, supporting a broad range of adult patients.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: WI RN license or compact RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in an inpatient setting within the last 3 years, experience with multiple ICU specialties, and proficiency in adult telemetry interpretation.
- Experience with Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and general critical care populations.
- Ability to pass a telemetry examination with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts.
- Adaptability to float to various ICU units such as Neuro ICU, CVICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU, and Intermediate Care/Progressive units.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with charting systems such as Epic, and Basic Arrhythmia competency.
- Additional Information: The role requires supervision and support from interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy. Candidates should be comfortable managing complex clinical procedures, including arterial line management, ECMO, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring.
