Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role involves working in a busy surgical department with a focus on orthopedic, transplant, cardiac, and vascular cases. The shift schedule includes day hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM with periodic call responsibilities. The candidate must have extensive OR experience, including at least five years and a minimum of level 1 trauma certification.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid surgical nursing licensing, at least five years of OR experience, trauma certification (level 1), experience in transplant, cardiac, and vascular surgeries, proficiency with Epic electronic medical records, and ability to work independently across multiple services. Experience in a large hospital setting is required. Candidate must be separated from the employing healthcare organization for at least six months and not reside within 50 miles of the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex surgical procedures beyond the core specialties, advanced certifications in perioperative nursing, and demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: BILH coversheet required at the time of submission. Call expectations are three times per month, including overnight and evening shifts on weekends, totaling 12 hours on either Saturday or Sunday.
