Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Walla Walla, Washington. This position involves circulating in the operating room, supporting a variety of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, OB (C-sections), ENT, plastics, and eye surgeries. The role requires flexibility to float between units, with on-call responsibilities and specific scheduling needs to accommodate emergency cases and scheduled procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, alternating between AM and PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse license; at least 1 year of experience in circulating in the Operating Room; current BLS certification; experience with procedures such as C-sections, orthopedic surgeries, neuro, vascular, ENT, plastics; experience with electronic charting systems (Epic); ability to float within the facility; must have travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience within the OR setting; familiarity with Xi Robotics; experience with complex surgical procedures involving Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Mako Surgical System, and XLIF procedures.
- Additional Information: The position requires on-call shifts, with callback within 20 minutes for OB C-sections. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds, providing acute care across diverse patient populations including adolescents, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The OR team supports a multidisciplinary staff including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpreters. Candidates must submit response to prior work at Providence facilities and references covering recent years during the compliance process. Modular training is required pre-start and annually, with self-reported completion tracked via Workramp.
