Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in a facility serving a suburban and rural area of Blair, Bedford, and Huntingdon Counties. The role involves providing critical care to adult and geriatric patient populations with a focus on complex diagnoses such as DKA, STEMI, CVA, and Resp Failure. The position supports a 12-hour night shift and requires a minimum of 36 hours weekly.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Pennsylvania license; ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years of ICU experience; experience with ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), arterial lines, and CPAP equipment
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing adult and geriatric patients with complex diagnoses and treatments
• Additional Information: Unit has 4 beds with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on patient status. Equipment includes Ventilators, IABP, A Lines, and CPAP. May require float to Medical-Surgical units if ICU is closed for a shift. No specific dress code color required. The position is a replacement for permanent staffing needs, with a start date of 08/10/2026.
