Description
Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Friday Harbor, Washington. This position involves providing acute care in a blended Emergency Department and inpatient unit setting within a critical access facility. The role requires flexible, skilled nursing professionals capable of managing diverse patient needs across multiple age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing; active BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications; Washington state food handlers card; and current WA license application in progress.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to neighboring units or facilities.
- Additional Information: Must be comfortable floating to Medical Service (MS) units and managing patients in both ED and inpatient settings. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with ventilators and BIPAP, performing POC lab testing, managing common emergency drips, and supporting critical patient procedures such as cardioversions and respiratory management. Candidates should possess EPIC charting experience and be able to complete procedural and emergency care tasks per unit standards. Orientation is 24 hours; shift start date is 08/04/2026. Submission requires proof of Washington state license application, two references from the past two years (including at least one supervisor), and confirmation of full vaccination status.
