The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting within a designated unit, with flexibility to float to various related units as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). No specific experience requirement; a minimum of 0 years is acceptable.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpreting strips preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to several units including Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, and Critical Care.
• Additional Information: The unit uses EPIC charting system. Travelers will receive 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor. RN must be able to read and interpret strips.
• Other: The unit functions as a Level 2 Trauma Care setting, and dress code includes royal blue scrubs for RNs. The charge nurse does not take patient assignments during day shifts. RN equipment management is limited to telemetry monitors, with RTs managing respiratory equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP.
