Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Rancho Cordova, CA This position involves facilitating patient transfers from hospitals within and outside the organization, conducting patient assessments, vital signs, and managing clinical information. The role requires coordinating with physicians and specialists to secure bed placements and ensuring seamless patient flow in a fast-paced ICU, emergency department, or transfer center setting.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with the ability to work holidays as needed.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS certifications. Minimum of 3 years of ICU, emergency department, or transfer center experience. Critical care assessment skills, strong clinical judgment, proficiency in Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records, and experience with bed management systems such as TeleTracking.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hospital bed management and staffing, strong customer service skills, ability to multitask, and familiarity with multiple computer applications including Cerner, TeleTracking, and Google Workspace.
• Additional Information: Candidates must complete a Dyslexia (DYS) exam through UNA within 24-48 hours prior to acceptance, with verification via screenshot. Typing skills are evaluated through a 1-minute online typing test. This position involves minimal hands-on patient care and focuses on facilitating patient transfers and coordination.
