Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves providing patient care on a telemetry unit within an acute care setting. Qualified candidates will have experience in managing cardiac and respiratory conditions, including heart failure, COPD, and stroke, and be comfortable working within a team nursing model.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends in rotation as needed. Shifts are scheduled by the unit scheduler and may be grouped or blocked together. Will float to Medical Surgical units and may also float to other locations as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit, ACLS certification, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Must be okay with first-time travelers and demonstrate good teamwork skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Will float to MedSurg units and other facilities (e.g., Meridian or Boise to Tele).
- Additional Information: The unit employs a team nursing model with a charge RN and leads. There are CNA staff members with a 1:8 ratio, and RN staff to patient ratios are approximately 1:4. Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP (for more than 4 hours, patient transferred to ICU), and High Flow oxygen. Telemetry technicians are present on the unit. The scrubs can be any clean, professional attire. The facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates, requiring proof of permanent address outside this radius prior to review.
