Description

Job Summary:
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) on a unit located in Boise, Idaho. The role involves providing care for oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), gynecologic oncology (GYN ONC) surgeries, hospice, and general medical/surgical patients. The RN will work night shifts, offering critical support in a dynamic, team-focused environment, and will be expected to adapt to floating to similar units within the facility network.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must hold a valid BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing or a related area; Idaho state licensure or the ability to obtain; available to start on 08/10/2026.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Oncology and/or chemo certification preferred; experience with BMT or chemotherapy administration desired.
  • Float: Travel nurses are first to float to medical-surgical units; may be asked to float to related facilities within the network of campuses.
  • Additional Information: The unit cares for higher acuity patients including oncology and BMT, with patient ratios of 1:3-4 for nurses and 1:8 for CNAs. Telemetry techs are present and capable of responding to life-threatening rhythms. Orientation includes 2 days on the unit with a preceptor. Scrubs can be any color, with no hoods required. The facility maintains a radius rule of 50 miles; candidates permanent addresses will be verified accordingly.
