Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves providing specialized patient care within the PACU, ensuring safe and effective recovery from anesthesia. The role demands a dedicated RN committed to delivering high-quality clinical services aligned with organizational standards.

Job Details

Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license; current BLS via American Heart Association (AHA); current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) via AHA; current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) via AHA.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is preferred.
On Call Requirement: One night call per week.
Weekend Requirement: Two weekends call per month (Saturday and Sunday), with the expectation of providing weekend coverage as required.
Float: Float rotation may be required to other units within surgical services.
EMR Used: EPIC.
Dress Code: Graphite Gray Scrubs.
Responsibilities include performing initial patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, educating patients and families, performing Point of Care testing procedures, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Additional duties involve effective communication, delegation, participation in orientation and training, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
