Description
Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor position is based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for oncology patients, including managing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, responding to patient inquiries, coordinating care, and handling administrative tasks such as authorization for scans and paperwork. The position requires strong triage experience, heavy patient communication, and coordination skills.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8/12 shift hours, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Massachusetts licensed registered nurse (RN) in hand at time of submission, 2+ years of nursing experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Hematology/Oncology experience, chemo and immunotherapy certification, experience with hematology care and coordinating care, heavy triage experience, experience with authorizations and administrative duties, must be separated from previous facility for one year, no local travelers accepted (cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility).
- Additional Information: The role involves managing patient authorization requests, medication renewals, FMLA paperwork, and responding to patients' questions regarding treatments and care plans. Availability for interview must be provided at the time of submission. All requests for time off must be presented during application.
