Description

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse is needed in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a medical surgical oncology floor with an emphasis on hematology and oncology patient management. The position requires experienced professionals capable of handling triage, patient authorization processes, medication renewals, and administrative responsibilities related to patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be in hand at the time of submission; at least 2 years of nursing experience; BLS - American Heart Association certification needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in hematology care, oncology, and triage, with heavy triage expertise preferred; experience coordinating care, responding to patient questions, and handling authorizations for PET scans; heavy familiarity with administrative tasks such as medication renewals and FMLA paperwork.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must have at least 4-5 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology (HemOnc), with significant triage experience.
    • This role involves coordinating care and managing administrative responsibilities related to patient treatment plans.
    • BILH coversheet required at the time of submission.
    • Candidates must be separated from any facility within the last year to be eligible.
    • No local travelers accepted (residing within 50 miles of the facility not permitted).
    • NM to interview and make offers.

    • Parking in the area can be costly; public transportation options are available.
