Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves providing high-quality trauma and emergency patient care in a level 2 trauma center. The ER team manages a diversified patient population, including critical situations such as strokes, cardiac arrests, and traumatic injuries, utilizing advanced charting and monitoring systems.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Straight nights shift, 12 hours per shift, starting at 5:00pm, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a registered nurse, with a minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience. Necessary certifications include ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIHSS, and BLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a level 2 trauma center and familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
- Float: Float to medical-surgical units may be required very rarely, primarily for patient care needs not related to the emergency department.
- Additional Information: The ER is a 23-bed unit that handles approximately 110 patients daily. Nurses will work in teams of 4-5 patients, with staff wearing navy blue scrubs. Orientation includes a week of skills training and charting at the LEAD center, complemented by department preceptor shifts.
