Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position in Ranson, West Virginia. This role involves providing post-operative care in a busy PACU environment following established ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses) guidelines. The position offers rotating shifts, including days, call nights, and weekends, tailored to meet departmental needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, with rotations including days, call nights, and weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; willing to wait for licensure; minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or equivalent. Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the department.
• Additional Information:
  • PACU unit (Cost Center - 70) with 24/7 RT in-house coverage.
  • Nurse Aides available; 1-2 shifts with a preceptor for orientation after hospital onboarding.
  • Call requirement is approximately 3-4 shifts per month, with a 30-minute response time and dress code.
  • No floating outside of this department; staff works in PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2.
  • EMR system used is EPIC.
  • Shift start times: PreOp at 6 am, Phase 2 at 7 am, Phase 1 at 8 am.
  • Weekend requirement approximately once every 8 weeks.
  • Holidays are covered by call.
  • Scrub color is provided.
  • No trauma level specified.
