Job Summary
Operating Room Scrub Technician needed in FARMINGTON, Connecticut. This role involves providing specialized surgical assistance in complex orthopedic, neurological, and spine cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of experience as a Scrub Tech or combined operating room experience, with the ability to perform independently. The position features a rotating shift schedule, with variable hours based on departmental needs, including on-call rotations, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts with variable hours based on need, including on-call, weekends, and holidays. Reports to work at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
• Required Qualifications: Must have 4-5 years of experience as a Scrub Tech or combined operating room experience, including proficiency in orthopedic, neuro, and spine cases. Must be able to scrub complex spine surgeries. Must possess an associate's degree from a Surgical Tech Program or an equivalent certification, and have Epic electronic health record experience. Must have NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) certification on file at the time of submission. BLS certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic health records software.
• Additional Information: All time off required at the time of submission. Local candidates (75 miles or less) are accepted at lower benefit ratings. Must have up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination records, with medical or religious declinations allowed. Flu vaccination records are also required, with medical or religious declinations permitted. Candidates must have an active Connecticut Operating Room technician certification before start date; this certification is not required at the time of submission but must be obtained prior to employment. No float rotation is required for this role.
