Job Summary:
Long Term Care Nurse Practitioner in Glendale, California. This role involves providing patient care within a skilled nursing unit that supports patients with pulmonary diagnoses requiring oxygen, Alzheimer's, and dementia. The position offers a dynamic environment focused on delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour days, every other weekend, with first to float shifts.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of experience; California licensure relevant to nursing practice; no specific degree required; location in Glendale, California.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in long-term care or subacute settings.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit notes include working with RN-to-patient ratios of 5:1, supporting pulmonary/o2 patients, and a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, SLP, case managers, social workers, and dieticians.
  • Experience with cerner electronic charting system, and working with oxygen therapy equipment such as Cpap, Bipap, and high flow devices.
  • RN, LPN, and CNA staff are required to wear specified scrub colors and participate in unit-specific orientation.
  • The facility utilizes both PAPR and N95 masks and can cancel shifts up to four times per 13-week assignment.
  • The shift involves 12-hour days, with the potential for floating to different areas as needed.
