Job Summary:
The location is in Lamar, Colorado. The Surgical Technician (Surgical Tech) specializing in Operating Room (ORT) is responsible for supporting the surgical healthcare team during procedures. This role involves preparing and maintaining sterile supplies and instruments, assisting in specimen handling, and ensuring the sterility and functionality of surgical tools. The position requires collaboration with surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers to facilitate smooth surgical operations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with a minimum of 5 years of current experience as a Surgical Tech; must be registered as a Surgical Technician with the State of Colorado.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: The Surgical Tech will operate sterilizers, validate sterilization processes, and ensure the sterility of supplies. Responsibilities include decontaminating instruments, inspecting for contamination, restocking supplies, and maintaining proper instrument functionality. The role involves long periods of standing and physical activity, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials. This is a full-time position with a focus on technical support in the operating room environment.
